Welcome to the  Los Angeles Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated  Website!    

My name is Dr. Krishna Y. Smith, President of the Los Angeles Alumnae  Chapter! This chapter has been a staple in the Farwest Region and Los  Angeles County since our historic chartering on June 16, 1929, led by ten forwarding thinking, intelligent, charter members which include our beloved  Founder Wertie Blackwell Weaver

For almost a century, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has remained committed to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action. Our chapter proudly carries that legacy forward through impactful programming, educational initiatives, youth development, economic empowerment, public service, advocacy, and partnerships that create lasting change throughout the Los Angeles community.

Our legacy includes being the home chapter to the 13th National President of  Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Geraldine Pittman Woods; Past National  Second Vice President, Chelsea C. Hayes; Past National Treasurer, Betty S.  Williams; eleven Farwest Regional Directors; two Regional Representatives,  and many regionally and nationally appointed committee members,  chairpersons, and co-chairpersons. 

As Chapter President, I am honored to lead alongside extraordinary women whose talents, dedication, and passion continue to transform lives. During this biennium, my leadership will remain grounded in F.O.C.U.S.—being Forward-Thinking, Organized, Committed, Unifying, and Sisterly.
